Verbal Directions[]
Located around 45 km South of Adelaide. The easiest method of finding it is to head South along Main South road until you reach Sellick's Beach Road and turn right(across from the Sellick's Pub). Follow this road down until it turns 90 degrees left and the first right is the ramp.

Parking and Launching Tips[]
You are allowed to drive on the beach here, however in the summer months the Onkaparinga Council allows the local sporting clubs to charge a small fee per car. At high tide there is very little beach to drive on and this is usually occupied by cars and bathers making it almost impassable. If you are arriving early in the day then you could unload on the beach and then park up in the small car park just off the beach. This also allows you to fish without having to watch the tide and your car.

Fishing[]
To the South of the ramp (left) there is a small reef which is, at this point not too heavily fished and is likely to provide some squid. Further on where the beaches end the bottom becomes Rocky/weedy/sandy in patches and provides some excellent fishing with Whiting, Snook, Salmon, Flathead, Tommies, Leatheries and most other local reef species. The depth along here goes from about 2 metres to 10-13 metres further out.These conditions remain much the same until Myponga beach is reached, 7.5 km to the South West.

Some Hazards[]
The region on a calm day is pretty free of hazards but keep an eye out for changing weather. Quite a few "stinkboats" frequent these waters so watch out for them too. If there is an offshore breeze watch the gusts in front of the Gorges and canyons. If the breeze is onshore beware of the swell and the rocks. Be aware that if you have a problem the cliffs come almost to the sea and do reach all the way in some places and tide times, making landing a bit of a problem.
Amenities[]
There is a public convenience at the small carpark near the ramp. There is a kiosk at the top of the ramp which carries some very basic fishing gear and stocks a few groceries plus the usual deli stuff. There is a phone booth if needed just in front of the kiosk. The Sellick's Pub (Victory Hotel) is a nice family pub with a large beer garden and they have been known to cook a pretty good counter meal.
